Fear of Failure?? Or is it something else

Hola Kiddies its ya Boy Nathan Nelson Here With another Insightful piece on things that are running through my mind region. The other day i watched this BET Documentary online about the rise and decline of Female Rap and within the Documentary there was basically a full 15minutes dedicated to Lauryn Hill
Cant Believe L.Boogie actually did a cover like this :D cuteee

On August 25, 1998 Lauryn Hill Released her Debut Solo Studio Album 'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill'...It Debuted selling 422,624 copies in its first week in america..It gave lauryn her first Number one Hit single with "Doo Wop (That Thing)"..as well as sprouted two Billboard Top 40 Singles in  'Ex-Factor' and "Everything "Is Everything"..

Classic Album :)

At the 41st Grammy Awards, Hill was Nominated 10 times!!! and went on to win 5 Grammys..becoming the first women to do so in one night...The album to this date has sold over 8million copies in the United states ALONE....

Soooooo where am i going with all this information?? Basically after the Success of this album..Lauryn Never Released the follow up album :(...(she released an unplugged album that was poorly received by critics)My Question is Why????then i thought to myself..Was she really tired of the WAY THE INDUSTRY WAS BEING RUN as she so often cited..want to know what i think?? Honestly i think she was afraid to release a follow up..Lets face it..Even Michael Jackson had a Sales decline after the  HUGE success of Thriller. However as an artist should we be afraid to follow up on our successes?? and risk damaging our 'Legacy'..Or Just have that One Perfect Album and never release anything ever again so youre always remembered Fondly??
