Artist Shine: Brendon Starr

Ok So im an artist..i have not released anything to the public yet because i guess im somewhat of a perfectionist...ok ok de real reason is im easily embarrased lolzzz and there's nothing more embarassing than releasing a Song that sounds like it was written by a ten year old and recorded in your bathroom...Luckilyyyyyy..This Artist Right here is the complete opposite of all those pitfalls that can stutter any burgeoning artists career..... meet Brendon Starr..

From writing little poems to girls in primary school whose attention he wished to garner... which he admits never worked out lol, he  decided to take his artistry more seriously and began writing for school Calypso/Soca competitions. He then changed his sound to HipHop/ R&B around [2003-4] and he hasn't looked back since.

"My influence would have to be my surroundings. I write everything that happens to me, both good and bad, I try to stay true to myself when writing"- Brendon Starr.

For me one of the best feelings you get as an artist when you're performing, is when a crowd is participating and vocally shows appreciation when your set comes to an end. I Asked Mr. FreeVerse what was one of his most memorable performances to date.

"The Performance at WoodFord Cafe Movie Towne for my good homie Sef Gaines show. Even though it wasn't my show, the performance overall was the best to date."- Brendon Starr

This track honestly for me Nathan Nelson, the artist, it made me a fan for life after i initially became a fan of his after hearing a song he has called 'Drunk Texting'..I Cant Find 'Drunk Texting' online however 'Finally Home' is a Collaborative effort that belongs to be pumping from your speakers..Smooth Production, a catchy hook and  awesome verses. Great Song by Sef Gaines and  Brendon Starr....

I wondered to myself ,what exactly is the message he wants audiences to take away from his performances..or the emotions he hopes the listeners of any one of songs mite feel? Well Mr. FreeVerse Sums it up Quite Poetically...."I hope they "vent" with me and "love" with me and "hate" with me and "inspire" with me. I want the emotions from my songs to match theirs, so they feel like i'm just the mouth piece of their thoughts."
